Sorry for the late notice. I wanted to post this earlier but kept forgetting about it. Anyway, we'd like to invite everyone to join us on ventrilo Sunday, March 7th at 9:00PM CST (3:00AM GMT). Use this opportunity to ask whatever you want to know about the Staff, TG, future developments or anything else, and we'll try to answer it all
About community meetings
Community meetings are meetings for all players and Staff at TenaciousGaming. They can be used to make announcements, ask questions, do suggestions, and discuss upcoming changes. The meetings are scheduled every 2 weeks (if possible), each meeting will take place at a different time so that everyone can join a meeting once in a while.
Of course it is possible to make announcements, ask questions and discuss stuff on the forums too, but it's just not the same as taking an hour to talk about it directly. We hope these meetings will make everyone more informed on what is going on, and make everyone's voice heard more.
Announcements done during the meeting:
- Core Switch
We are going to switch to a different emulator for our servers. At the moment we are using Osiris, an Aspire based core. We are going to switch to Trinity or a Trinity-based core. While Trinity can't handle as many players online as Aspire, it does have a lot more working (spells, instances, vehicles, etc). We don't have a big population anyway, so the player cap shouldn't be an issue.
- Events
St. Patrick's Day is coming up, and we'll be celebrating it. Emily made a post with all details here.
We are also working on a "permanent" maze and stair event. There will be portals from the main cities to the event, and there will be quests you can do for special rewards. You don't need an EGM to do those, you can do them whenever you like. ETA: about a week.
- Guild Bank Issues
There's still an issue on the servers causing guild banks not to show items correctly. Shauren has fixed it in the svn, but he can; t update yet due to stability issues with the latest revisions.
- Server Rates
The funserver used to have a weird mix of rates ranging from 15x to 40x. We have edited it so that all leveling/experience, reputation and gold drop rates are now at 40x. Item drop rates and skill/profession rates were not touched.
On Revenant we have increased the gold drop rate from 3x to 4x.
- Website Stuff
- There was an issue causing vote points not to count for some new accounts. It has been fixed, so everything should work fine again.
- The homepage has been edited a little. The boxes have been moved around a bit, a connection info box has been added, the slideshow has been revised and the news box now shows the actual post in a tooltip if you hover over a news item.
- There hasn't been much progress on the Emblem system in the past week. It's still very high on the priority list though!

Really wish this could get pushed back a week as its way last minute. I am almost sure I cannot attend this one.

Because I was too late scheduling it. I would have prefered Saturday too, but it wouldn; t really be a good idea to announce a meeting on the day it takes place.

Then push it back a week. I would rather have it at a good time and wait a week then have a meeting that no one can attend and have to wait 2 more weeks for a legit on.

Last time we did it on a sunday quite a lot of people were able to attend, so why push it back one week? Especially when there's an other (earlier) one again anyway in 2 weeks. If you can't be there and don't want to wait, you can always post your questions/concerns on the forums too.

How does 3 AM on a Monday morning sound reasonable to European players?
When we finally get the color there won't be nothing left to paint on.

I already explained you this last week, it's not the same time every week. Last week we had it during evening in Europe. This week during the evening in America. It switches around like that. We can; t make it perfect for everyone every time, we can only try to switch it around so everyone has a chance to be here once in a while. Unfortunately as long as the earth is round and timezones exist we won't be able to schedule a perfect time for everyone.
I'm from Europe myself too, so believe me, I do realise very well that this time is far from perfect for us. I have to keep it fair for everyone though, not just Europeans.

I'm happy with Sunday meetings as I have Monday off from work and class (in Australia, so 9pm CST (GMT-6) is 12:30pm here).

There weren't many questions, so just an overview of the announcements we did

2 questions remain unanswered for now, I'll check with Thrash and Bio about them
- Is it possible to add a quest giver to downgrade event tokens (large to medium and medium to small)?
- When are the new bosses for ICC coming out? Any schedule?

Those have been asked before and the answers I've heard are that there will NOT be a function to downgrade event tokens and I think it was Thrash (or Ares) that said it. About ICC, Bio told us that once he gets the elevator script working we'll have another boss to raid. From that point on he needs to fix the next script (transport thingy or idk) to get the 4th boss available. About the rest I know nothing but I think the rest will take some time since dataz are hard to come by. As with any development - there is no ETA on anything, it will be done when it's done, just remember people are working on it.
When we finally get the color there won't be nothing left to paint on.

1) yes its possible
(fail to see why you want it though)
2) script for 3rd boss is requirement 1, he moves in his place and just drops crazy gold atm fails bigtime, after that we can try to add the areatrigger that leads further inside (dont forget that bliz intentionally build this instance in steps, part 1 only leads to saurfang, and that was it for first few moments in retail, to keep everyone filled with "new" content over time
rather then giving it instantly
aka its being worked on, but with the mentioned core-change, this might be fixed already or fix itself , so it also depends on the ETA of that
atm no ETA's can be given, due to the core-dependancies...

Isn't Mangos the best option ?
Last I remember it had the most blizz-like scripts and stuff and seeing as we are avg. around 40 people wouldn't mangos be a better option ?

Trinity is based on mangos, and is currently more blizz-like than mangos itself
